Fashion Nite Out, the now international event that is a global celebration of fashion, and held simultaneously in fashion capitals around the world, took place last nite. It is also one
of the many events which signifies the beginning of Fashion Week Spring/Summer here in New York City in early September.
Now in its fourth year, this annual event is as I like to call it, a preamble of tricks-or-treats for fashionistas. From 6 pm – 11pm, for one single night, major retailers and chic boutiques alike, open their doors for all to enter in the name of fashion to feast on tasty tidbits and drink concoctions with exotic names while gawking at their favorite celebrities and fashion related personalities spotted on the high streets amongst us everyday people. And, as always, there are the endless giveaways and tons of shopping until dropping to be had.
The streets were all abuzz with more activity and bright lights than usual as people gathered to and fro following their favorite fashion icons and events hoping not to miss a fashion beat. Even I, who swears to never partake in such drivel activity, got swept away in the mad chase for a quick glimpse and shot (yes…I was one of the lucky ones) of Anna Wintour, the Queen of Diamonds (Editor-in-Chief) of American Vogue and her perennial bobbed hair (see picture left) which, if the truth be told, has a persona all of its own. But, back to this year’s t-shirt, the true star of this story…
Shown above and around in this blog post, this year’s t-shirt uses the bold, block letters of the acronym of Fashion Night Out (FNO) as its design concept. Long and short-sleeved t-shirts, a raglan sleeve tee as well as a sturdy, canvas tote bag are available for sale in a number of subtle color combinations. Forty percent of all proceeds raised from sales will go to the New York City AIDS Fund in the New York Community Trust. You can purchase one at a number of stores around town. A list of those stores are available on the FNO website as well as the the option to purchase any of the merchandise online on at www.fashionsnightout.com.
Be sure and check out our fabulous line of bold, graphic tees (both long and short sleeved) and hoodies at etsy.com/shop/bangbangflip! Shown to the left, is one of our popular long sleeved tees, Hollywood Hybrid, where you can spin old glamour style for the dial tone.
It is available for both men and women in an assortment of colors as well as long and short sleeve tees, hoodies and as a sweatshirt.
bang! bang! flip graphics...there’s something for everyone!
